i just made a poster, for an event im hosting here in canberra. first time i ever made a poster, and this is going to be around footlocker stores and rebel sports stores and more :P

not bad, but I think the red outline looks out of place. although it does do a good job of drawing attention.

nice, but u might want to try decreasing the size of outer glow and decreasing the stroke and maybe decrease the text size a bit below where it says performing live. and the red stroke doesn't go so well with the gradient. rest looks really nice

Both the red and black strokes seem out of place (the red more so ). Everything has a sleek, soft feel to it but the black astoke seems too harsh and the red breaks the color scheme. I think you should stick to the same color scheme with the words on top ("the fort" and the date) as you do on the rest of the page. maybe just a bit of outer glow and no stroke. but use something else to attract attention to them. Such as a line behind them that spans the page or something silhouetted just behing them. hope that helps.

Hey all. i just finished a project for my lighting and texturing class and thought i might share. the entire work was completed in 12 hours using maya 7.0
