Since I installed my new vid card, 9800 Pro, my flat panel will have the message pop up "non preset mode."

Nothing actually changes but when I play things like Gunbound, or I try to play doom, or a ATI screen saver runs, it pops up, and gets quite annoying. I tried their manual and no luck on what it was.

I've reinstalled the drivers, what else do you suggest? (Does anyone know what it means?)

If you look in your manual or in any website that lists LCD specs, you'll find that LCDs look best at their native resolution. My 17" LCD (BenQ too btw), looks at its best when using 1280x1024 resolution.
In the back of your manual, where the specifications are listed, you'll see a recommended resolution which for 17" is usually 280x768/1024.

Since you don't run the majority of your games at 1280x1024 and most likely at 1024x768 or 1152x864 the monitor will notify you that you're out of the best view mode.
So that is completely normal :)

Yea, i just got off the phone with BenQ and was typing something similiar to that when you posted.

Basically, the resolution and Refresh rate has to be one of the ones used by the LCD.

Work fine om my old dark monitor but I couldn`t see shit!

So when I start the game I get the logo and the screen goes black..

*waitning for the "EA GAMES... Challange eeeeverything.."*

But nope.. Back to windows and the message Nonpreset modes!

No Battlefield for me!
