each time i hit accept, it brings me to the default hotmail page :( even with IE. am i doing something wrong?

*edit*

figured out the reason...the mail beta does NOT support Windows 2000 at all, even after getting accepted. that's fucking gay.

if you have admuncher, try completely shutting it down before trying. it wouldnt work for me with admunch.exe running. And the actual mail wont even open. So i went and turned off filtering on mail.live.com and it worked

I think it only works on older accounts!
My old account works but a newer (2 months) wont!

Anyway, the reason youre getting page not found is that IPB shortens the address, the code you should put in is:
http://by101fd.bay101.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/BetaOptIn?page=option&curmbox=00000000%2d0000%2d0000%2d0000%2d000000000001&a=b9a426ebd4880ad9d14db4b4c55a69f8bb8dea2282102422220030b2b6bb98c8]http://by101fd.bay101.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-...20030b2b6bb98c8

Hope this helps

Crap. Worked on a newer account, but my 3+ year old account only defaults back to the basic Hotmail. :(

worked on my mum's Australia account :|

anyway, i'd suggest an Admin or Mod to take off that link. ms contacted neowin about it and told them to remove it so, they might contact taco/james/djp soon.

had your newer account been upgraded to 250mb, the one i created about a month ago won't work, but its still setting at 25mb so that might be the problem
