Today Google added ActiveSync support for Gmail. This is great news for those who use a mobile device that supports ActiveSync (such as Windows Mobile or iPhone). I had been using IMAP to sync my Omnia with Gmail every 30 minutes, but now with ActiveSync my device will be updated almost immediately when a message arrives. I tested it out, and the message appeared on my device about 10 seconds after clicking the "Send" button.
