So Im running Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit and I know that it has DriectX 10 built in so I was a little worried when I installed Nero 9 Premium Reloaded and noticed that it made me install DirectX 9.0c to use it. When it installed the DirectX 9.0c did that downgrade me from DirectX 10?

It didn't down grade your Directx it added to it. By adding in DX9, it added to dx10's ability to run old programs. The system requirements for dx9 ,also, states it works with Win7.So in short no harm just good so no worries.

It adds missing DirectX Information, i don't think it can or will overite any DirectX Files unless they are older, and Windows 7 has file protection built in like Windows XP and Vista had so they can keep system files from being overwritten, but i wouldnt let older DirectX programs install just to be safe.

HI!!
DirectX copies .dll files to your system folder.
Now, once you have installed directX there is now way to remove only way is format the computer,
Don't worry regarding degrade.
