Hey guys, after doing some quick browsing the board has changed drastically since the last time I was here...
I would post this in the introduction section, since it's a bit of a re-introduction but I don't seam to have permission to post there. None the less i'll throw out a few facts and we can get this awkward first post over with.

1. It's been 8 years since i've logged in to this page.
2. I used to be consumed with the Alpha/Beta community.
3. I'm a PC/Networking guy that does a little bit of Photoshop and Web work on the sides.
4. I gave up forums way back when due to work related travel.
5. Now I sit in an office all day and have gotten tired of clicking refresh on CNN, PopSci, and Cnet so why not give a forum a shot again.

What do you think about Windows 8? I just DL'ed the new Release Preview and am hoping to have time to install it next week.

So far I'm not a "Hugh Fan" of Metro ... But can see where it (the new design paradigm) will be good for the tablet market.

As an operating system I really don't see that much difference between it and 7 but the look of Metro was a MAJOR turn off for me. Also Server 8 has Metro on it which just kills the server OS feel...

I guess I just don't like Metro and the updates to the OS could have been handled through a Service Pack. Although the more OS's that are released the more likely my employer will be to migrate away from XP finally...

I know you posted this 6 months ago, but that's about how often I, or anyone else for that matter, seems to post here. Site is about deader than a door nail, so you might just as well go back to hitting the refresh button on CNN, etc..
