I have a prolblem tracing IP's,everyone does I know, but how can I go about getting the logon IP to a remote, floating proxy server. I continually get hammered by people using a remote proxy. Is there a way to find the original IP?

Don't bother with LANGuard; it's a good local security product, but it won't do what you're asking.
Short of blocking that proxy, there's not much you can do from your end. You could try contacting the people who run the proxy and ask them to put your IP on their blocked list - many of them have no problem with this. Personally, we just end up blocking most of the public proxies at our firewall.
