I have a > 30 GB Directory on a backups Winderz box running XP "Pro". I need to delete that monster directory, but whenever I try to Winderz says some crap about a lost directory path or some damn thing. So then I try it in DOS, but guess what, DOS doesn't come with deltree command anymore...what a peach. So, how the FUCK does a guy do this? I hate Windows so god damn much! I just can't stand sitting down in front of the damn thing. If you're not browsing the net or checking email, you're b0rked. POS OS man. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

Hey, thanx for the helpful response smart-guy.
I do have issues, the doctor diagnosed me with, "Cannotdeletesubtree-itis Syndrome" with an acute case of "fuckinghateswindows" to boot.

 I already told jessejlt about rmdir, but it will only remove one directory and only if it's empty. :P

Well, you could boot with a linux live cd -- mount the hard drive and then use the command rm -rf {dir} and it will all go away.

Hold the phones, use rmdir /s <directory> to "Removes all directories and files in the specified directory in addition to the directory itself. Used to remove a directory tree." :o

Without the /s, it has the restrictions that I previously mentioned.

Not if the drive is NTFS, which, being XP, it probably is. ;)

Then he could always try a special boot cd.

Something simple to try first. Run chkdsk and then boot into safemode or the command line recover mode and delete it.
