Homebrew Information:

Only versions 1.0 and 1.5 firmware PSPs can run homebrew. 2.00 firmware version can run partial homebrew in userspace (most homebrew requires more than 64kb of memory).

Can I downgrade my 2.00 PSP?:

Yes. Check out http://www.pspupdates.com/ for more information. Files will not be provided here.

Can I downgrade my 1.51, 1.52, 2.01 or 2.50 PSP?:

Yes, yes and no. 1.51 and 1.52 will have to be upgraded to 2.00 then downgraded to 1.50. Version 2.01/2.50 is currently not downgradable.

What movie files can the PSP play?:

Specially encoded MP4 files. Use PSPVideo9. Firmware 2.00+ support H.264 hi-res. Earlier version firmware does not.

Web browser?:

Version 2.00 firmware has a web browser built in. Wipeout Pure has a browser. Search more on this on http://www.pspupdates.com/. There is also a homebrew browser in the works.

Downloading PSP games for free?:

Yes, it can be done, just like XBOX, PS2, PC, etc. No links or tutorials will be found here.

All homebrew applications can be found at http://files.pspupdates.qj.net/.

Interesting... For stuff like this it would be nice if it had a touch screen.

MSN Messenger for Sony PSP Hack said:

Apparently, you can sign into your MSN Messenger account with a Sony PSP by exploiting a browser backdoor in the WipeOut: Pure game. After following these instructions you just have to point the built-in web browser to the mobile version of eMessenger and log in.

Now if someone can tell me how to connect a keyboard to my Sony PSP for text input, that would make chatting much easier. Oh wait, that's right... I don't own a Sony PSP :(
