Seems like another must-have title for the PS3. It had Warhawk, R&C: ToD and CoD4 just recently.

Looks like PS3 is kicking into gear. Reviews are consequently 9+. I am wondering what Gamespot will do here.

here's some screens:

That game has caught my attention also. Looks like a cross between Tomb Raider and Gears of War. It's directed by Amy Hennig, who was the director of the Legacy of Kain games.

Why did she have to leave Crystal Dynamics? I wanted another LoK... sad.gif

But, it makes me curious about the story in Uncharted, since the LoK series had one of the best game stories ever.

The PS3's game lineup is certainly getting stronger. Heavenly Sword got fair enough reviews, but it just wasn't enough to make me purchase one. However, one PS3 exclusive that I am really interested in is Heavy Rain. We really haven't seen any of the game, other than that one teaser. But it's from David Cage, so I know it must be good.

Further influencing my interest in PS3 was my recent experience with the PC version of Gears of War. The "Games for Windows LIVE" service is such complete bullshit, that I am about ready to boycott every game with the Microsoft logo on it. It made me that ill.

another one where they score a (ps3?) game significantly than the almost unanimous rest of the press: they give it an 8.

I'll get screens from that site and video's, but I do not trust their opinion anymore.

GameSpot's score is among the lowest, but they're not alone though. You could check MetaCritic, which averages many different review sites:
http://www.metacriti...eddrakesfortune

But as far as the scores go, it's hard to "trust" an entire site to be right on all games. It depends more on the reviewer. Any of them could be in a bad mood that day, or be assigned a type of game that they don't really like. And then you always have to wonder if there is any money going under the table.

I like GameSpot, and I even subscribe to that site. But that's mainly for all the content they offer about upcoming games. As far as their reviews go, I really don't put them much ahead or behind any other site. I weigh the opinions of many different sites before I decide if I should play a game or not. And if there is a new game that I'm really excited about and know I'm going to buy, then I try to avoid the reviews altogether before playing for fear that they might taint my own perception of the game.

Some of my favorite games have gotten mediocre scores from sites, such as Dreamfall and LoK: Defiance. Yet I still enjoyed them a lot when I played them.

true chugski. I check out multiple sites as well and that is why I came to belief that gs scores lower on average. can't really pinpoint when and how though, but I knew they would be scoring this one lower as well - hence the specific reference to gs in my first post.

damn. high-jacking myself. crying.gif

Well Brains, don't think that GameSpot is just biased against the PS3. They gave Mass Effect an 8.5, and the Xbox fanboys had been hyping it up to be the greatest game ever made. In fact, I was baffled at all the hype it was getting. Must have been Star Wars fans or something... blink.gif

This game doesn't look too good graphically, but the gameplay does offer some interesting things. Nothing that would make me get out of my Hate-PlayStation tent though.

[Off-Topic]
Just as I buyeth a X360 for Mass Effect, I shall be buying an PS3 for "Heavy Rain" (Working title). Indigo Prophecy, or more accurately, Fahrenheit, was one of the best games I've played ever. I cried.

Fahrenheit was great.

I'll be getting uncharted in december as it doesn't come out here till then!

I also bought a 360 for ME. Completed it yesterday, great game.
