New improvements over previous Windows Mobile versions include:
- A locked user interface which won't allow the use of competing ones (such as SPB Mobile Shell and Point UI)
- A locked application installation system which only allows Microsoft-approved apps
- Removal of multi-tasking ability
- Inability to run applications written for previous versions of Windows Mobile
Unbelievable! It's like Microsoft did a survey of what features iPhone users would like the most, and cut those features from their own platform. If Windows Phone 7 truly is a locked down system which only allows installation of Microsoft-approved apps, then I'll view it with as much scorn as I do the iPhone.
