Well it's been awhile since we've done one of these, and despite a lot of changes at my job, I'm still at the same place and doing the same thing.

That being, I'm in the Detroit area of Michigan, and I work for a software company where I'm a software engineer and also head up the IT stuff for our office.

Much better to deal with the heat in Texas than deal with them damn hurricanes in Florida.
And TBH it ain't that bad down here. The heat is still tolerable but its the humidity that kills you.

the heat in texas can be pretty bad, depends....down in the valley(south texas) it isn't horrible....but yeah east texas gets crazy humid....its just crazy cuz i can tell a smal lclimate change in visiting my brother in san antonio then going home to the DFW area..but i have been here 12 years or so, i guess i just got used to it..and i can't beat it being april and 80 degrees....makes tennis nice..

There are going to be a lot of good U.S. Senate races next year; I suspect at least a few of them are going to have hispanic outreach programs that could use someone fluent in the language. Call the National Republican Senatorial Committee and see if their outreach office can hook you up.
