Oh, a new Batman! I was thrown off by "The Dark Knight" reference, but that's cool and looking forward to it. Neat posters too!

I have a friend, Greg, who is obsessed with Batman and has been this way since he was a kid. I remember when he found out on the net a few years ago about a new Batman movie being made (which we all know as Batman Begins).
He was totally excited and couldn't wait for it to come out. As for me, I didn't give a shit, because I'm sure I'm speaking for everyone else here that after seeing Batman: Forever and Batman & Robin we were all like, "JESUS CHRIST! NOT ANOTHER SHITTY MOVIE!"
Well, even seeing the trailers for Batman Begin as well as just reading the name, "Batman Begins" I still didn't care and didn't want to watch it, because I was pretty sure that it was going to suck.
But then reading that Hanz Zimmerman was doing the soundtrack for the movie that kinda made me a little interested, because I've been a huge fan of his composing ever since Hannibal. Then after hearing that Christian Bale was playing Bruce Wayne/Batman, I was a fan of him as well ever seeing American Psycho. I agreed that he would play a good Bruce Wayne; however as Batman I still didn't really know what to think about it.
Well Greg of course paid for the tickets the night it opened at the theaters and I was dragged to go see it. I didn't really care to see it, but since it was free I was like, "who cares...it can't be worse than the time he made me go see Catwoman" (side note: 20 minutes into Catwoman I walked out saying I had to use the bathroom and then walked and watched Harold and Kumar...which that was a great movie lol).
So watching Batman Begins, I was totally shocked and enjoyed it and considered it the best Batman movie ever. I liked how they went into the roots of it and made it dark and serious, AND DIDN'T MAKE IT LIKE THE 60'S BATMAN MOVIE/TV SHOWS or like Forerver and B&R. I loved the soundtrack (which I bought a few days later and still listen to it cause its just amazing). The actors that played their characters did an excellent job and it really gave Batman the justice he has been needing since the 60's...another side note: The Batman cartoons made in the 1990's was really good I thought.
Anyways...
I'm excited and can't wait to see THE DARK KNIGHT (Batman Begins 2). I'm really glad that they didn't name it Batman Begins 2, which believe it or not, there are idiots out there that are complaining that its not called Batman Begins 2...and I don't know, but someone wanted to named BATMAN BEGINS AGAIN...yeah...
I just can't wait till a real trailer comes out, not something created by a fan, or something that doesn't show us anything about the movie.
I was also worried about how The Joker was going to be played and how he would look; however my worries were put to rest after seeing pictures and so on and so forth. He looks twisted and somewhat scary, just the way he should be looking.
Rumors say that at the end of the movie we should see a look of TWO FACE. Which I don't know if anyone knows anything about TWO FACE, or was introduced to him in Batman Forever, but hes a very dark character and is very silent and deadly. In Forever, they for some reason made him act like The Joker, which was bullshit. TWO FACE, does not laugh and dance around and make jokes. Like I said, hes deadly, silent, and very serious, in battle always with his demons within.
Also, there are rumors that we will be either introduced or see a quick look of The Riddler. Which also in fucking Forever, played by Jim Carry, he was acting like the fucking Joker, based pretty much on the 1960's TV show/Movie. In reality The Riddler is very smart and is full of Riddles etc etc. The way he was played in the Batman Animations (1990's) he was the way he was supposed to be.
So hopefully this totally works out and is much better than Begins, which is always hard to do in any movie sequel, but they seem to know what they are doing. BUT I'M STILL WORRIED LOL.
Also, I forgot to mention that Hanz Zimmerman is doing the soundtrack for the movie again, which is another positive thing.
The only thing that sucks about this movie (which really isn't a big suck, but more of a disappointment) is that the character Rachel Dawes is not being played by Katie Holmes, but some other woman. The reason why is because Katie Holmes said that she was too busy and couldn't do it, but I like to think that the reason is because of her husband Tom Cruise is jealous and doesn't like that she is going to be in a movie bigger than his lol.
Seacrest OUT!

Holy crap that was a long post. Anyway the official trailer was leaked a while ago (shaky cam recording). But that doesn't matter as the trailer was released just yesterday.

I saw it Friday. Whoa.
I've never liked the idea some rich dude with fancy toys could be a super hero, but this movie makes batman badass again. I'm not even gonna get started on the Joker, and Two-Face makes Tommy Lee Jones' look like a bad halloween costume (actually, all of their costumes make the other movies look like halloween get-togethers).
Great movie (especially for a super hero, prequel-sequel).
