Well I do not want to get my hopes up too high but I have a job interview with Research In Motion on Wednesday. The position I applied for (and what the interview is for) is Associate, Blackberry Partner Technical Support. Basically I would be working on a team to support AT&T, Sprint and other major companies with their Blackberry issues. The pay is pretty good so I hear. This would be awesome and a great career. *Crosses fingers*.
Does anyone else here work at RIM? How do you like it? I currently know a few people that work there and they love it.
It's for the center in Halifax, NS.
Well i had the interview today! It went way better than expected. The questions were fairly simple, mostly to do with Microsoft Outlook, POP and SMTP servers and a few basic troubleshooting questions thrown in there too. Next stage is an in person interview on site. Can't wait!! lol. I'll know in a couple days when that will be.

Yay RIM!! (I hope lol).

Sounds promising Scott and I wish you success in that.
Thanks! I wish it for myself as well lol
RIM is very good at sending the PFO letter should it not select you. I went through my pre-screen with a recruiter and during the pre-screen he told me at the end that I do have a second interview on-site. Normally they don't tell you this but aparently I rocked at the first.
I was just contacted on Monday by the recruiter, this was about 3 weeks after my phone interview and now they have me booked for Today for my on-site.
Fingers crossed, it's very good money and I currently work for a telecommunications carrier in Halifax so I do have the communications background.
I wish you the best of luck and I will post the results and some questions on here that were asked.

Hey, all the luck in the world Scott. Hope you get it (Y)
Interview went good. Be prepared to answer some technical questions regarding Exchange Server, Outlook E-Mail client, and general software / system policy questions.
You will be interviewed by 3 people. 1 manager, and 2 team members.
They will be dressed down, you should dress in your finest. Suit, tie and overcoat. They like professionals and they also like to hear you talk about RIM and brag them up.
Thats the best I can give you and I will post in a week or so and tell you if it worked.
Lol sweet. Yup i have my in person interview tomorrow morning, i'll let ya know how it goes. Thanks for the heads up!

I pray for u that you do well, update us with news.
Couple hours after the interview they emailed me back saying that the interview went very well and they were going to check with my references. I was working and they e-mailed my supervisor so it looks like they are moving the process along very quickly. I'm pretty confident that I got the job but I'm still waiting to get the official word. I cant wait to find out, it's driving me crazy. I went for a 2 hour long drive tonight to just blow off the nervousness from this morning lol.

Singh: Interview at RIM or another place?
Nah for the NHS. Nothing special, but I need a job.
Hi Scott Congratulation on your new job at RIM, I had a phone interview last week and they told me to come for personnal interview with two of the supervisors at RIM's Headoffice in waterloo. Scot can you give me any clue how to handle inteview with them and also what kind of questions do they ask?
Please share your experience. Your help will be much appreciated. Thanks
Mohib
It's really just like any other interview. Questions about your resume, past experience, when you had to deal with a difficult customer, etc. Behavioral questions. Then depending on what position you apply for they ask questions related to it.
It's not anything to be scared of. Just be yourself, be polite, normal. Should be fine!
I'll have her Monday or Tuesday, mmm turbo fun.
