Morphix is a run-from-CD Linux distribution based on Knoppix, but with a number of differences: it has modular design, it can be easily installed on a hard disk and the developers provide a number of pre-made CD images with a different target audience - namely Morphix Game, Morphix HeavyGUI, Morphix KDE and Morphix LightGUI. There isn't enough space to provide a detailed info here, so visit the Morphix FAQ to get more answers. Morphix has released version 0.3-4 a few days ago (see the release announcement) and this is where you can download the ISO images: MorphixCombined-Game-0.3-4.iso (565MB), MorphixCombined-HeavyGUI-0.3-4.iso (436MB), MorphixCombined-KDE-0.3-4.iso (338MB), MorphixCombined-LightGUI-0.3-4.iso (187MB).

- added nvidia devicenodes, should fix installing with nvidia

- translucency slightly updated, dpkg'ing debian packages works

- preliminary alsa support added, "morphix alsa" and "morphix
alsa=alsa-module" bootoptions. Needs testing & debugging

all mainmods:
- new installer, fixes critical bug, installing with scsi drives
will work, however having a scsi drive as root won't work as of
yet.
