i donno where to put this, n theres no "Troubleshooting" or wuteva in this ( i cudn't find wun neway) but all ov a sudden, my Icons,Start Menu (Most Frequently used programs), Taskbar Icons, Quicklaunch Icons, Window Titlebar Icons have gone into 256 or 16 Colours..its pissing me off n i donno y. all ov a sudden it jus changes :S
can sumwun help?
i thought ov re-instaling windows, but i wanna know if theres an easier way.

btw, im on Win2k n the Start Menu (Most Frequent Used Programs is on Objectbar).

What are your display settings?

Make sure in the display settings, you have it set to show icons in all possible colors (appearance tab) and if that doesnt work, you can try editing it manually in the registry to HKEY_CURRENT_USER-> Control Panel-> Desktop-> WindowMetric->Shell Icon BPP, and set it to 16 (16 bit)
