Guys why you dont make a wishes for next version of MSN,Windows messenger and if someone in the official beta can report it about my own is offline messeages like yahoo and some emoticons and a notify when someone leave and inivisible mode how about you all ...?

Offline messages can be good and bad.

I'd personally like a combined MSN Windows Messenger so you don't need both to do everything, but I don't think that will happen with this next version.

I'd also like a way to comment and/or override people's displayed user names. I hate how people can change them at anytime, so it takes some work to keep track of whose really who. I know the e-mail addresses are there, but I'd like to be able to make my own comment.

yea. i never even touched MSN messenger when it came out. I just had a feeling i should stick with WM 4.7 because i knew 5 would come out.

WM5 isnt this good im working with the beta its not show profiles (no option) dont show e.mails..
its dont have any relation for .NET its just support exchange server (the only noticable new feature till now)

I tend to use MSN Messenger 5 for the fact that it will let me not only show the users by category (which WM4 and 5 will do) but it will also let me put the offline contacts together WHILE showing them in category view

Let me see Windows Messenger do that

Try using Trillian, it lets you change people's names freely. Sometimes connects better than MSN, too

I'm totally aware of Trillian. I've even tried it twice, but didn't care for it either time, so thanks anyway.

I use MSN Messenger 5 because I can't send files using WM and msn is alot nicer...lol

for those of you on WM5 beta, did any of you notice that it uses your system speaker instead of your sound card when someone logs on while you are connected? is this a bug or was this in WM4.7 and i did just not notice ot???

I am in the actual Beta Program and got the first beta release.... sucks pretty bad hardly any changes and right now you can't check your hotmail through it and it doesn't notify you when you get new email i know this is not only me others who are using it have the same program but so far MS has yet to comment wether this is right or a bug... we'll see what happens the the future releases.

its not a bug, that functionality was removed in version 4.6, and you can only get it back with the add-ins, which currently don't work w/ WM5
