You have a point, and I believe that to an extent, too. But even when I was a noob here, I didn't go around looking for links for LH...well..ok I did, but I didn't keep asking for them in every thread. Those kind of noobs get on my nerves, but other than that I don't have that much of a problem with them...we all gotta start somewhere I guess.

The 6 reasons are.
1-the shutdown and logon backgrounds use bliss from the unreleased 3718 build
2-Just look at the default wallpaper they have in cool.jpg
3-don't see anything new, a few tweaks and a minor hack to start menu properties is all. Nothing that anyone with a bit of patience couldn't accomplish. And the new balloon isn't new it was in 4008 as well.
4-Build date is March 28th 2003, it doesn't take MS 40days to go up 7builds
5-WiNBETA has a thing for faked, hacked and nuked releases.
6-aside from the hacked start menu properties there is nothing new shown, that can't be made in about 5min.

I saw the pics and it is fake by someone that is inside in winbeta. I am not going to state the person who made the hacked 4015 becuase i dont want a bad reputation.

You can't tell what's new totally from screen shots, you have to use it, too..for all we know the WinFS filesystem could be working now and that's why it's an M5...who knows.


Actually MS does a new build about every week, so 40 days is accurate, if not too little.

eh doesnt WinFS mean Windows Future Storage? i dont think theyve implemented a new filesystem yet.

There's a service for it, but that's about it so far.

Yah, no shit. Look on microsoft.com and search for WinFS. For longhorn, I bet they called it Windows Future Storage, but its reall File System

it looks like all they did was add a feature and change the build number.
