Figured I get someone dense enough to really expect a link to download Longhorn. Too bad. Before this topic gets out of hand, and the mods fold this place up, light it on fire, and smoke it (better share...), let's review where you can find Longhorn.

1. P2P networks (i.e. KaZaA, eDonkey, Grokster, blah blah blah). It's there. Do a search.
2. Newsgroups (alt.binaries.warez.ibm-pc.ms-beta has it as of this morning)
a. Do a search for it at www.newzbin.com, www.nfonews.com, or alt.binaries.nl
*** YOUR ISP CAN TELL YOU IF THEY HOST A NEWSGROUP SERVER OR NOT!!! ***
3. IRC (if you don't know how to use IRC, go to www.mirc.com and read the FAQ)
4. Search IRC at www.ircspy.com or packetnews.com

Helping out people is one thing, but when folks sign in here just to leach a D/L link or FTP is another. Don't do it unless you have every intention of sharing. Also, don't claim to have something that is not real. Joe made a real clear point on this a few days back. No proof, no thread. Period.

Enough ranting. Time to burn my image of LH 4015 and mess with it before work.

Hopefully this will satisfy all of the noobs. I have been reading this board for well over a year now and have always been able to find "alphas" and such by just reading and observing. Occasionally I do offer help to people who ask. Thats only if I feel that I know what I'm talking about!!:) I am currently downloading the new LH. No, I did'nt post a topic asking where to get it!!:) I just kept my eyes open for helpful posts and looked for it myself. This is what is special about this board. People helping each other. Thanks for all the help from the CREW and everyone!!

Newsgroups kick ass! i got longhorn 4015 in like 10 min, instead of waiting 5 hours to download, and then 2 hours to actuall download!!! it kicks ass.

i downloaded longhorn 4008 like three days ago, and i took me all of a week to completely download. if newsgroups are the key, then what program do i use to view a newsgroup, and whats a good newsgroup to join so i can download longhorn 4015???

If you try a p2p network suck as Kazaa, be prepared to get cut off halfway through and not be able to find anyone else who is sharing the file. I got 145megs of 4015, then poof. No more. Three days later, I still have not connected to anyone else. Even though running a constant search. 4008 is readily availible off kazaa though. If thats your peice of cake.

Which one? I can't get it off of alt.binaries.warez.ibm-pc.ms-beta like I did for 4008 a while back. Yeah I think I want to give LH another try.

Do us a favor and search the board before asking these kind of questions. And, to add insult to injury, all you have to do is read this entire topic and it will answer those questions.

Try IRC, Kazaa or FTP links!! Look for FTP links on IRC, If u cant use IRC, then you'd better learn!

i understand m8. i can see how you feel , i dont want to be known as a leech. dont blame ya for thinking so. earlier on this board a person says u can use newsgroups, i have tried p2p for lh and i have got nowhere what so ever, so would it be possible for help on how to use a newsgroup? i hope some1 can help, i dont want to be too much trouble.

lol newsgroups rock. I get alot of stuff off em then serve em on our irc server. but plenty of folks are afraid of irc, and newsgroups can be even more confuzling to others.
