The build 4015 is working a lil more faster but you'll not notice any difference since there hasn't much changed since the 4008 build.

Have you tried to use bootvis on longhorn, to see if it works on 4015, I know it speeded up 4008 a little.

nope, but after i ran that performace guide thing, it did speed up a bit, but not much!
But i dont see whyb the average user would want all that stuff.
But for me it runs quite fast, (i havr about 1gb of ram and a 700AMD processor)
So it might just be the RAM

Most end users dont need all that stuff, but during testing they usually default most services on
so the operting system is stressed and any bugs will show up early. When its finally released most non essentual service will be set to manual.

3 days! Ouch, that must have hurt it only took me 8 hours. Anyways, no significant changes in 4015 besides new logon screen and bootscreen. It dosn load a bit faster and the kill button is kind of cool. There are a few improvements in the sidebar also, but all in all I would wait until longhorn at least reaches the 4100's (unless you enjoy collecting these alphas).

Getting it was the easy part, fixing it became a labor (of love).
