..becuase they seem to launch unepexpect and eat up memory! and cause 100% cpu usage. this a bug or is my pc crap? they p*ss me off i want to kill them.

xp home sp1 final. + has anyone got a patched sfc_os.dll for sp1 final? i lost my patched file.

you can use the non-sp "sfc_os.dll" in your SP1a-installation. In fact you can use that very same file in Server 2003 as well (Windows XP without a service pack, sfc_os.dll). Remember to modify the HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows NT/Currentversion/Winlogon "SFCDisable" to read "FFFFFF9D", and reboot.
