How exactly is that done?
Right clicking, is that the counterpart of wrong clicking?

The reason is because they did'nt make a judgement about where someone should be in their computer knowledge.

Your computer knowledge might be vast but your judgement about someones knowledge of computers seems to be lacking in this thread.

Some people have to start somewhere angry.gif blink.gif

hey look, my avatar. you know what? you would think that someone that has enough know-how to sort out the themes in windows xp would be able to change the damn wallpaper, or at least tried setting a wallpaper in administrator and one in whatever other account they have. then they would see that no special "trick" or program is required to do what he wants. so restrain yourself, young grasshopper.

youre using xp right? you should have a desktop tab, if you dont. open whatever picture you want to make a backround in windows picture viewer then right click on it, set as backround.

OK; I think I got it...

My wallpaper wasn't in the My Documents/My Pictures folder...

Moving it there, MSPaint now displays the "Set As..." command, and the Desktop Background I want...

Thank You! I 'preciate it! biggrin.gif

Would that tab be only in Administrators???

I use PSP and never even thought of using MSPaint to set the deskyop background, but I was logged in as a User, not an Administrator...I've changed both accounts backgrounds now, but I'm dual-booting and right this second I'm in Win98...

...Which is why I wanted to be able to tell where I was...Especially since my 2nd HDD now has Win2003 Server... tongue.gif

This is on WinXP Pro...I found the Desktop backgrounds in Win2003 & Win2000...

Does this require Active desktop???

If I can figure out how to attach a screenshot, I'll post a pic of the Display properties window...And my User account is an Administrator's...

It's a User account, with Administrator privileges...lesse, that account has TweakUI as well...Everything is set for Windows classic...

Would there be some option in TweakUI that would have removed that tab from Display??? Maybe I unchecked something unknowingly???...

Lemme take a peek at the Administrator account...maybe that has the tab...

...BTW: Thanks for taking the time for me!... wink2.gif
fretster
well any account should have the option for desktop in the display properties, im guessing you did something unknowingly with tweakUI, which i dont use... so someone else will have to help you with that.

OK, it *is* TweakUI...On the IE tab, there's a box labeled "Shell Enhancements"...I had unchecked it, for some reason or other...Re-checking it restored the tab to Display Properties...

Well, I'm happy that's cleared up!... cool2.gif
