This is one of those distros that can be run from a cd. And it doesn't write or change anything on a HDD. Like Knoppix 3.2. Very very new to linux. I have dialup. Can I surf the net from this distro. If so how do I access or setup a connection to my ISP? TY

I think it depends on if your modem is supported or not. Search around google by typing your model of the device for slackware.
