guys im looking for a LAN messenger looking close to MSN messenger anybody know one ??
Make one.... Visual Basic 6 is easy enough to learn and you could customize it all you want. If I wasn't as busy I'd make you one.

I did exactly this when i first got Visual Studio. But as i was new to it it wasnt a very good application. If your talking of making it look like msn6 I think its going to be very hard to find what you want. It would be easier for you to write your own server compatible with the MSNProtocol, and change the server your msn clients connect to... but damn, that would be hard too.
If you're to lazy or not knowledgable enough to make one I bet download.com has something that will work....
you could use
Command Promt and then go to:
X:\ (Windows install Drive) *i think*
and then type NET SEND
and it'l give you the rest
its not real easy for a conversations so you can make one, or like morgan said, search download.com

IF they are NT based machines and you have access to the command prompt and you know everybodies IP address, then just use Netsend. It's clunky, but it gets the job done.
net send ip address message [ENTER]
net send ip address message [ENTER]
ip address or username or domain
i dont know i do it at school because the Computer there are Win2k
so I just send messages to people.

lol if i write me own one i dont think its going to be looks good and im using net send long time ago but its not this sleek look way

And if I was the admin at this place I would personally locate you and shatter your fingers. Net sending to the whole subnet is just stupid and irresponsible.
Another option may be to use WASTE, my friends and I use it all the time.

hehehe a kid in my school did that, which sends the message to over 500 computers throughout the town. The Superintendent wasn't too pleased that day. Within 2 minutes of sending it they already had somebody at the school from the Board of Ed. to reprimand his ass. Oh did that day suck for him

that´s nothing, have you ever send a net send to about 10000 People a mate did accidently and got fired, too bad for him
