Has anyone noticed that the XP firewall has a very detrimental effect on download speeds with Bit Torrent? If I start a download with the firewall on, it gives me a hearty 1-2k/second. If I shut it off, it's at 46k/second and climbing. Is there any way to set the WinXP firewall up so that it isn't killing BitTorrent's bandwidth?

Theres a reason for that, it is letting connections coming in to your through the ports bittorrent uses, you need to allow incoming and outcoming to tcp 6880-6889 and then your downloads will be fine. If you have Shadow's Client it can tell you this by the stataus light.
i have a better solution.....
get rid of that POS and use a better software firewall. or if you wanna spend some money, get a hardware firewall.
