i just installed microsoft outlook 2002 and when i go into it it says
"your microsoft exchange server is unavailable"
whats wrong?
Jay16K
you misconfigured i to use a non-existant Exchange-Server
or you forgot to put your password into your exchange-account, Outlook imports not the password sad.gif

i dont understand a word of that? i just want to know how to fix it.

He's saying that you either gave Outlook the wrong name for your Exchange server or you need to type in your password since the Import doesn't bring it in.

First off though, do you even have a Microsoft Exchange server or are you simply asking how to get rid of that message? I'm guessing you don't since you just made the switch from Outlook Express to full Outlook.

If this is indeed the case, then you need to reconfigure your services to make use of standard Internet Mail instead of an Exchange server. To do this, you basically launch Mail from the Control Panel, remove the Microsoft Exchange Server service, add the Internet e-mail service, and configure it appropriately for your mail provider.

Just click on the Microsoft Exchange Server service to highlight it, and hit the Remove button.
