I've been using ghost every few weeks to mirror my C: onto a spare hdd that I hook up and then replace in the safe. I'm building a new rig but using SATA drives, will ghost work across ide to sata, sata to ide or sata to sata? I'm guessing not so the next question is: is there anything out there that will? (other than hardware solutions)
TIA

I don't see why it wouldn't, it's a hard drive isn't it?

It'll work as long as DOS can see the drives. The latest version uses WinPE, so it gets a little trickier there with some of the oddball RAID controllers; you might have to put a driver into the image.

maybe for ghosting purposes, you can get the adapter to hook up SATA to IDE?
Just tried ghost 2002 and it just doesn't "see" the sata drive at all. Thanks for the suggestions - off to explore
