Yep same here, You can beat TMPGenc and Nero
I use Gear Pro Mastering Edition 6.05 (long name huh?). It gives me total control in creating whatever I want. It may not be as simple as Nero, but it offers a lot more options and features as well.

however last night i capped 24, cut commercials and encoded overnite, then burned this morning, fairly simple
