I use
All Music Guide frequently, but it somehow has blocked the "open in new window" option. I use tabbed browsing (Netcaptor/Mozilla Firebird), and this block is very inconvient for me. Is there any way to circumvent this?
I just tried it out and it appears to be a javascritpt executing the command. Since its JS and the function the link is calling cannot be run via an external URL, there is no way around this. check your popup blocking settings.

Damn, that's a pain in the ass. In IE you can still use Ctrl+N to clone the current session and branch from there.

Yeah thats a bitch, very easily done though, just use a javascript link instead of an URL. quite crafty, hope it doesn't catch on, sites which don't intend to do it but do really piss me off, and if sites do it intentionally ill probably go mad!
Oh, I see what they did, yeah, thats becoming pretty common now, just click the link then copy it and paste it into a new window

Thats the easiest way around it.

I remember a program that ran on your pc as a proxy and was made so that it altered HTML webpages as they were downloaded. you could use a program like this to alter the JScript on the page to open in the same window. If your that desperate to continue normal functionality that could be done.. however im not sure if open in new window would work then..
