I've just downloaded an album but problem is its the whole album in one mp3 file. What's the best software for splitting it up into individual tracks?

Personally, I use Goldwave for all my audio editing...

Various options here ...

It might be an 'Albumwrap' file ... try the free extractor ... http://www.infamus.com/albumwrap/extractor.html ...

... or you could try 'Musicutter' with 'Cuemaster' ... http://musicutter.szm.sk/ ... http://cuemaster.host.sk/index.php ...

failing that, you might need something like 'Adobe Audition' ... which used to be called 'Cooledit' ... http://www.adobe.com/products/audition/main.html ...

There are a few other progs out there that do similar things ... but hopefull Albumwrap or the Misicutter/Cuemaster combo should do it!

hmm whenever I neede something cut from an mp3 I'd convert to wav using cdex and use the windows sound recorder and then just reconvert back to mp3. but don't listen to me on this one the first two posts are better.
