I'm looking for a good television software, but I don't know what. I know several programs as Beyond TV, Showsniffer or Media Center... I live in Europe. What do you suggest?

Do you have a TV tuner card? What's wrong with the software that came with it? Man y require their own software be used.

maybe because some of the fetures suck or doenst work as they should, e.g. Deinterlacing

@maurice what chipset has your tv-card ?
Chugworth
If you have a TV tuner card, use Dscaler. It's the best. smile.gif

I use winDvd Recorder. It installs the dvd codec for me so WMP can decode DVD's....plus it allows me to record and time shift television easily and quickly.

If you want something to record and allow you to schedule similiar to Tivo and fuction like that you could go for Beyond TV. I've never used it but the MaximumPC magazine in there November 2003 issue used it as their software of choice for PVR functions when it was called Personal Video Station 3. <---Edit sorry I noticed you mentioned this after I had already replied.

G/L and keep me informed as to what you choose. My capcard is down right now but I plan to buy a new one soon.

I just use my ATi AIW 9600 Pro. Does it all in one snap, TV, records, TIVO like recording, Dual monitors, and the list goes on.
