this one is kinda weird.
I just want to know if anyone else has had this problem.
At some points when playing WarCraft or watching a movie file, The game/movie video would freeze but the sound would play on.
The video freezes for about 3 seconds and the computer sorta plays catch-up with the audio. Sorta like fast forwarding a movie but the sound is unaffected.
I know VirusScan 7 is to blame because if I disable it nothing goes wrong. This hasn't happed before I reformatted.
update: this happens with IE as well.
I'll be scrolling a web page and it would stop and then play catch-up again....ghay
It used to freeze my irc downloading so I had to uninstall it and get panda Antivirus.

this seams weird, but with the scanner disabled i noticed an HP program taking over 50% of CPU usage. I ended the task and turned on the scanner and the problem went away.
I have an HP psc 2410xi photosmart software installed.

McAfee sucks also. Get Norton or Kaspersky.

I just two weeks ago had a problem with Mcafee v4 - It deleted all my customer's e-mail - they just disapear...
Last year I had the same problem with v6...
Put Kaspersky, Norton (for the speed SAV v8) - but it does not check OE mails... and bee wo nerves ;0)

problem solved.
I disabled the 2 HP programs that run at startup. No more 100% cpu usage by McShield. strange, hope HP and McAfee catch on to this bug.
Hmmm you all telling him to use Norton and other programs, Why not try saying, I recommend such and such program...
Now to you Serge, I have had Problems with mcafee 7, I would recommend upgrading to getting mcafee 8 since i have never experienced problems with it.
