MyIE2 is a powerful multi-page browser based on the IE core (IE5.x or IE 6.0 required). It can open multiple web pages in just one window. And it only takes a little system resource when surfing with a greatly integrated user interface. It also supports special Plug-Ins & IE Extensions to let you have an enjoyable surfing experience.

What's New:

- Browse tabs when holding right mouse and scrolling.
- Better browse tab support when pressing Ctrl+Tab.
- Option to select Microsoft's java vm or other vm at MyIE2 Options->Advanced .
- New plugin command "m2_run_cmd".
- Automatically backup config file per 10 runs.
- ShowSidebar toolbar button.
- Button plugin can have drop dowm menu.
- Fixed some resource leaks.
- Fixed could not save more than 10 same title group item problem.
- "localhost" will not be searched by default search.
- Fixed a bug in 'set/restore default browser'.
- Fixed ' Clean Undo URLs on close did no function problem '.

i like myie2
its has tabs, pop-up blocker, even blocks ad's on webpages, i tried the other ones and they do not have the feature, plus this gets updated lot, and the fourms a great place for help.

Well were not talking about that particular product, where talking about myie. Maybe you can learn from what I just said and if not, then you will have fret making a bad remark about you.

damn right beer.gif although, if he likes one thing better than another he's welcome to say so... if he says why its better. just making a post that says "OMG THIS BE SO GUD" and nothing as to why its so good... thats just fucking stupid.

i currently use avant browser and i like it... but i'll try this one out


edit: i tried it, and i it a lot... only thing i dont like is that when u open a new tab, the new tab goes on the bottom (it doesnt go to that tab when it opens).. can anyone tell me how to change this, i checked the options... sad.gif

I actually love having new windows open below the current one. It prevents popup ads from actually popping up and stealing your focus (the few popups that get past the filter, that is). The new "Right Click + Mouse Wheel" ability to scroll through tabs makes this feature even better.

If you still do want new windows to pop up and steal focus, just go to the Options menu, then MyIE2 Options, then click on Window in the list on the left, and check Activate New Window checkbox.

as for the main topic about MyIE2 i think its pretty cool but i am addicted to Mozilla Firebird right now.... Too bad everyone is patening there technologies gonna put IE out of business because MS can't use any of these patented technologies.... unless i am wrong....

Hehehe. I know it seems hypocritcal to use Windows and hate Microsoft, but hating Microsoft always has always come first, and its not like there are any decent alternative OSes out there. I mean Linux would be great if it had a good GUI and was instantly and reliably compatible with all the Windows software, but its not...

The only thing I do appreciate about Microsoft is that their crappy software creates a lot of jobs in the PC repair field. smile.gif

And now, back to the topic...

I read this thread while I was in the process of trying MY IE and also as a result tried Avant which I had never heard of.

I now use Avant, I am not saying its better; but I do like it more.

Maybe we should start all these posts by listing all the major competitors?

Well, I'm glad that some people can give an opinion and explanation as to why they like Avant, I like it myself.

I'm just wondering why every time I see that other guy post, it's a short slur, and then he whips his tongue out like Gene Simmons at a whipped cream licking contest.

MyIE2's forum has a good discussion going on exactly the same topic. Sounds like the only thing Avant has over MyIE2 is that it allows for varying sizes of windows, where MyIE2 makes everything fullscreen (I have no problem with this, myself).

It's a "no-brainer" for me.....Avant works fine, however, for most average users, though, who could care less about some of the advanced things I've mentioned here.

But, I always suggest to try it out for yourself so you can be fully persuaded based on your own usage.

I hear that, 90% of the time a person come into the place I work with a problem on any Microsoft OS other than XP, it results in, "uhhh, your only option is really to format and recover."
