Do you need to have a MCE pc to be accepted into this, or will they reject you if you select no at the bottom. Maybe they will send them out like the did for the os.

I understand that it only works with MCE pc's, but what I am asking is if they will provide you with one for the test if you do not already have one.
What would be good is if they gave you a copy of MCE if you didnt have one so you could enrol in it

According to Microsoft the beta will begin in the "early part of December" and will finish in Q4 of 2005. Microsoft have issued several Guest ID's for this beta but in order to prevent leaks the ID's are different (capital letters in different places).

No you won't DPG as sometimes the original post is just edited with no additional replies.
In any case, the new additions are marked as such and naturally it seems Microsoft is kind of taking a break for the holidays.

Does anyone have the ID for the MSN Messenger 7 beta or the windows xp x64 beta?
Thanks

@BigChesse: The MSN Messenger 7 beta is so far along now that it has a public beta program, so just download it from
here.
The Windows XP 64-bit Edition also has a public beta program, so just go
here for that one.
P.S. Welcome to ieXbeta.
someone might want to add this one to the 1st post as well:
MS_BetaApp - MCE 2006?

I don't think it's mce 2006...
apart from the fact that all the questions were related to Digital Video/Images, TV, PC, "If you have an MCE PC"
yet, its not about MCE

Jan 3 2005, 20:23
hmm: it could be mce 2006, or just a far-off thought: longhorn MCE
I wonder why they would just call it Microsoft Beta Program unless when they was creating the guest id and all, they just forgot to name it before making it public.
I can confirm from an inside source that the Beta "MS_BetaApp" is NOT MCE2006, but is "new digital media experiences on Windows consumer PCs". No software name is associated with it yet.

Jan 6 2005, 03:48
Hmm, well that's interesting information DarkEX and welcome to ieX.
In that case, I've renamed it to "Untitled Beta Project for Media Software" then.

anyways: just cuz the name of the pic is Emerald doesnt refer to a codename or anything.
