CrimsonKnight13
Tribble, that is only a temporary Guest ID since that will change shortly. They are making it random as the following states from Neowin

According to Microsoft the beta will begin in the "early part of December" and will finish in Q4 of 2005. Microsoft have issued several Guest ID's for this beta but in order to prevent leaks the ID's are different (capital letters in different places).

Anything new? Things seem to have dried up.
Hasin
Just subscribe to this topic/forum and you'll be notified by email everytime theres new additions/posts wink.gif
Taco Bell
No you won't DPG as sometimes the original post is just edited with no additional replies.

In any case, the new additions are marked as such and naturally it seems Microsoft is kind of taking a break for the holidays.

Nothing for the Ms AntiVirus Beta test?
harrisonh1
I don't think that has started yet...unless I missed something.
BigCheese
Does anyone have the ID for the MSN Messenger 7 beta or the windows xp x64 beta?

Thanks
Taco Bell
@BigChesse: The MSN Messenger 7 beta is so far along now that it has a public beta program, so just download it from here.

The Windows XP 64-bit Edition also has a public beta program, so just go here for that one.

P.S. Welcome to ieXbeta.
Hasin
someone might want to add this one to the 1st post as well:
MS_BetaApp - MCE 2006?
i dont know, check the thread:

wink.gif
Taco Bell
Added, so thanks for the info. DPG.
harrisonh1
I don't think it's mce 2006...
Hasin
apart from the fact that all the questions were related to Digital Video/Images, TV, PC, "If you have an MCE PC"

yet, its not about MCE fear.gif
Taco Bell
@harrisonh1: Indeed DPG! Just ignore the generic title of the program man and look at the questions!!!
harrisonh1
I never said that it wasn't about MCE, I just said that I don't think it is MCE 2006.
Taco Bell
@harrisonh1: rolleyes.gif Yeah, that was clear. tongue.gif

Well since 2005 is already released, I think 2006 is a safe assumption for the time being.
harrisonh1
eh, you guys need to get more observant :-P

About what? huh.gif
the1337est
hmm: it could be mce 2006, or just a far-off thought: longhorn MCE tongue.gif
Sim31
I wonder why they would just call it Microsoft Beta Program unless when they was creating the guest id and all, they just forgot to name it before making it public.
DarkEX
I can confirm from an inside source that the Beta "MS_BetaApp" is NOT MCE2006, but is "new digital media experiences on Windows consumer PCs". No software name is associated with it yet.
Taco Bell
Hmm, well that's interesting information DarkEX and welcome to ieX.

In that case, I've renamed it to "Untitled Beta Project for Media Software" then.
harrisonh1
If you guys would look around a little, you would know the name.
Taco Bell
@harrisonh1: Come on man ... if you've found it, then why don't you just tell us?!?!?! 'cause the mysterious beta hasn't tempted my interest to look.

Yes, I already saw that image when I signed in to check the guest ID, so are you simply referring to the fact the filename is called "Emerald"? 'cause that doesn't necessarily mean much.

or do you mean the MSBeta_app thing is for Longhorn?
Im confused unsure.gif

He doesn't know shit, he is trying to act big...
harrisonh1
Yes Microshit, that's exactly what i'm doing. You are so good at saying stuff that you know nothing about. :-)
the1337est
rofl: i seriously doubt that its a new Systems Management Server beta because... hey wait a sec it could be a home media server OS tongue.gif

anyways: just cuz the name of the pic is Emerald doesnt refer to a codename or anything.

Looks like a new crappy logo of office wink.gif

But isn't this related to media??
the1337est
it might be. i remember when i signed up for it, the logo was an orange (maybe red) circle which said "insert logo here"

ROFL laugh.gif
harrisonh1
Well, the codename actually is Emerald, so lick.gif
Taco Bell
@harrisonh1: I need real proof for that codename to be true man. Not speculation.
CrimsonKnight13
Hearsay does nothing but dulls the truth and clouds reality. I would rather that people have solid evidence instead of whatever floats along. Such is another episode of foolish gossip drama.
harrisonh1
I have no way that I can prove it to you, but that is the codename. I assure you.
Taco Bell
@harrisonh1: Well then I have no choice, but not to believe you, so let's drop it until someone else comes along who can do just that.
harrisonh1
alright, that's cool :-)
