How do you get the beta ids? I never have had them sent to me in an email.

In addition, the Longhorn command shell preview is as far as MS has gone other than the Longhorn surveys. Dont hold your breath either waiting for the beta to happen.

I don't know why you quoted daedelus on this, but I'll work on alphabetizing the entries to make the post more user-friendly.

Also, Windows Update v5.0 may have been released, but I'm a member of the beta and there are still plans to have content tests in the future.

Finally, the "Longhorn" Command Shell beta may be moving slow, but that doesn't mean we're gonna take it off the list.

MS are now taking nominations for 'Istanbul' beta, or in other words the
Live Communications Server Client Beta.
If you're interested in participating, sign-in to Betaplace with a guest

But please be aware that if it's anything like the Server beta, you need 3

In any case, Visual Studio 6.0 is still a very popular and well deployed package that Microsoft must continue to support. Especially with it being the last one before the transition to .NET.

Besides, the .NET framework is the only thing to have service packs as of yet and none of these have even come close to SP6 in terms of the releases.

Yes some people are in the Longhorn Beta (few members here too), BUT this is a very private beta, the LESS private beta (with a Guest ID) wont be out anytime soon...
