i'm getting a symbol or a mark on all the 4 edges of my page and am not able to remove it.... help me out....

i'll try to make it up... sort of inverted L - Shaped at all 4 corners

Maybe its a newline symbol (some editors and things show these for you as well as making a new line). Or maybe your talking about a paragrah symbol or something.. Can you not find it in Character Map? (Run->charmap), just a thought

i'll use hypersnap to make it clear, won't be there for long...

does this have to do with page margins....?

They are text boundaries.

To disable:

Tools -> options -> uncheck Text Boundaries (at least this is how you do it in office word 2k3)...
