use firefox, it has a built-in popup blocker and has a google search built-in next to the address bar wink.gif

oh yeah, you might have hit something in view > toolbars and caused it to go away.

same issue here, cept til i found out that the plugin works only when u visit sites theu IE and not windows explorer (click my documents, and type a web addy into the addy bar: google bar doesnt show)
zaczac
it is enabled
yet it wouldn't show up whatever i do

other 3rd party toolbars are there, nav and flashget, and i can disable and enable
them

it must be one of those things blink.gif

btw, i'm using firefox + google extension bar ( googbar copy )
but cannot stand startup time tongue.gif

Is Google Toolbar part of Windows? No? Is it a software? Yes There you go then. smile.gif

is google toolbar internet explorer plugin ?
plugin is hardly standalone product and should be discussed in a context

is ie integral part of the windows ?
ask micro$oft lick.gif

but i like it here, seems like more traffic wink.gif

Sometimes it gets mixed up with the other toolbars. For example, I have Flashget Bar checked and Google unchecked to see the google toolbar wink.gif tongue.gif

I'd say more of an Add on or extra than plugin, but what is a plugin? Its software tongue.gif

anyway enough.. my argument is pointless and useless..

3.1: If your topic is about something that we have a forum for, post it there.

3.2: Don't post something off-topic just because you think you'll get "better responses" in a particular forum.

i just invalidated both your reasons.

3.1: microsoft did not make the google toolbar. final answer

micro$oft did not make half of the Microsoft branded software, so what ?
googlebar is a simple activex control, something that does not exist
outside of the realm of the Microsoft windows & iexplorer
error was most likely caused by silent registry corruption
now that has nothing to do with google, but it
has everything to do with the windows
