I'm running WindowsXP Pro and for some reason, a few days ago, my windows media player decided it only wanted to play video in black and white....I figured it was just media player, but I opened a video in WinAmp and it does the same thing. Please help me out if anyone has any suggestions! My system itself if in full color, even games, it's only video whenever I play one. Thanks!

System Specs if it helps at all.....

1Gig Ram
Nvidia Ti4400 (latest Drivers)
WindowsXP Pro SP1 (all latest updates)

the file that you are trying to play WMP is what file type?

divx? xvid? do you have the correct codecs?
i encountered the movie being played upside down, cos i did not have the appropriate codecs.

go take a look HERE

they hv the latest codecs...

or you can also try the VideoLAN player as a temp workaround... it can play many file formats...

As said above what codecs do you have installed on your comp? And what type of files are giving you this problem?
