Ive got huge problems with playing back xvid files.
All I get after opening a file, is a video with green squares repeatedly all over the video. Ive tried all the different xvid installers, but they all do the same.
Any ideas?

have u got the latest xvid codec installed ?

Tell us more, version of windows, SP's installed etc.

Try installing ffdshow (google it), it might help you.

Sound like someone installed the Nemo Codec Pack.

Those packs are all crap. They have old versions of the codecs and install a buch of stuff you don't need that often screws up other things - which is wht you're seeing. Uninstall whatever pack you used and use FFDSHOW, like the 'Tam said.
