Hey guys i buy a powerbook laptop and i put a password on it and forget it
how can i remove the password from it

Or you can boot to single user and run the following:

/sbin/fsck -y
/sbin/mount -wu /
/sbin/SystemStarter

then run:

passwd administrator
seym0ur
I have the same problem as the orginal poster, however when i try penguins advice, when i get to type the new password, the computer refuses to let me type anything in. Any advice?

the passwd utility does not acknowledge keystrokes. nothing will appear, but rest assured it is taking note of them. just type your password and hit enter.
