Just to say it simply, I like my music as loud as possible. I have a Archos AV480 Portable Media Player and was wondering how to make the songs I put on it louder. Is there a converter or something that can do it? I know I have accidently done it before because I have 2 songs that are exactly the same but 1 plays way way louder than the other. I believe all of my songs are in 320KBps MP3 format at 4100Hz Stereo. I play the audio back through headphones.

get better headphones? download a better rip of the song? if the volume is low in the song, incresing it with winamp or something else could distort it.
Hasin
hmm i know how to raise the volume of the song without actualy increasing volume on speakers/software.
if you have nero, open Nero Wave Editor,
open the file of your choice, and then select all, Ctrl+A
and then press volume up top, normalise, increase the volume to your liking smile.gif

EDIT: ofcourse you then save the file (make sure its not open anywhere else).

loud music for long time == bad.

it doesn't have to be loud to be good sound.
