Figured it might be a good idea to make a list of usefull apps for overclocking and monitoring.

Monitoring
MotherboardMonitor (MBM) - http://mbm.livewiredev.com/ Good for monitoring voltages/temps. No longer in development though.

SpeedFan - http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php Not a bad little program for monitoring voltages/temps.


CPU Identification/Information
CPU-Z - http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php Good tool for hardware information.

CPU Clock - http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpuclock.zip Tiny little app for really accurate CPU/FSB speed measurement. Displays to the 10-thousandths.

WCPUID - http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA002374/src/download.html Another one.

Stress Testing
Prime95 - http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft.htm Very good system stressing tool. Make sure you go into Advanced>Password and put in 9876. Then set the priority to 10 for a much more rigorous test.

SuperPI - http://pw1.netcom.com/~hjsmith/Pi/Super_Pi.html Calculates PI to a desired amount. It's not bad but doesn't do as rigorous test as Prime95.

MemTest86+ - http://www.memtest.org/ Best ram checking tool there is.

SiSoft Sandra - http://www.sisoftware.net/ Lot's of stressing and benchmarking tools in this one.

Stress Testing
Sp2004 - http://sp2004.fre3.com/ - Basicly, its a GUI for Prime95. I think its better and easier to use than the original. (Doesn't require Prime95).

For actual overclocking!
ClockGen - http://www.cpuid.com/clockgen.php - Changes the FSB and PCIE speeds via windows. The effects are not perminate at all, so, when you freeze the system and restart, it will load what you have in the BIOS. I highly recomend it. Only problem with it is that not all motherboards support it.

Unsupported motherboards - I'd check with the motherboard's site to see if they have their own overclocking tool. Asus, for example (which I use), uses Asus Ai Booster (found on probably any download site).

Graphics Cards
PowerStrip - http://entechtaiwan.net/util/ps.shtm - Unfortunately shareware, but, still works nicely.

Riva Tuner - http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?page=rivatuner&menu=8 - Another possibility.

Laptops
(for those of you who dare)
Monitoring:
Mobile Meter - http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley-Oakland/8259/(In Japanese) - This extremely small program will detect sensors on a laptop/computer. It will show Clock Speeds, CPU Temperature, HDD(s) Temperature(s), and (Dis)Charge rates. It is no longer updated though, but it will work with virtually anything.

Undervolting(for Intel processors only):
Notebook Hardware Control - http://www.pbus-167.com/ - An awesome utility to undervolt laptops. It will also show temperatures, voltage usage, time left on the battery, batterly health level, and can work with some ATI cards.

RM Clock - http://cpu.rightmark.org/products/rmclock.shtml - An alternative, not nearly as nice looking, but its a fair bit smaller. It just does undervolting and shows current volts.

Long Term Stressing
Folding! Something like Boinc, stress your system and do research at the same time .
