Ok, I always use DVDSHRINK to burn all of my DVD's but whenever I try to burn The Grudge it freezes while it is analyzing it at 25% and I have tried 3 different copies and all of them freeze at 25% while analyzing. Why is it doing this? Has anyone else had this problem?

As for what you're saying, the copy protection might be too new for the version of DVDShrink you have. Try updating it or wait for the next release.

Just to let you know, I saw it today. It was the worst movie I've ever seen. House of 1000 Corpses might not have even been that bad.

I suggest you also get a copy of DVD Decrypter, sometimes I have the same problem so if DVDSHRINK doesn't work, DVD Decrypter will.

I have never had a Movie* not back up, DVDSHRINK works almost always, and DVD Decrypter works if DVDSHRINK doesn't.

*I have had some problems with Special Features disk, but only a few.

Copying DVD's is no differrent than copying an LP to a Cassette Tape as far as I am concerned.

Yeah it was really bad. A group of my friends went and saw it (about 10 people), and me and my friend were laughing through the whole movie.

The only thing keeping me from laughing through the whole move was the chance to scare the people with me every time I could.

meh try copying StarGate SG-1 Season 7 DVD3.

This thing will not copy no matter what I toss at it.

It always gives a CRC error when copying but plays back perfectly in a DVD player.

Which means no backup for me

What software are you using?

I've tried DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero, AnyDVD combined with several other rippers.

All of them error out with the CRC issue and its only that one DVD that does it.

I had a similar issue with Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind that was fixed by using Nero instead of the usual DD or DS.

agreed.....what I found so hilarious though is that nero copied the dvd without any special hacks or anything to the copy protection.....however on any other dvd it wouldnt

Did you try re authoring the DVD? Try just pulling of the episodes, Its usually the menus that cause the problems.
