Mozilla Firefox 1.0.1 has just been released.A minor update, this version fixes a few security holes and some other bugs. If you're currently using Firefox 1.0, you want to install this release.
Firefox 1.0.1 is a "branch build" serving as an interim update to Firefox 1.0. It addresses critical security and performance issues that resulted after the release of Firefox 1.0.

I'm using Mozillafirefox_1_0_release_m3.exe, which is technically 1.0. Can I / should do this 'update'?
On second thought, as usual, I can't resist, so I will. Will report back if there are any problems.

If you are experiencing a crash while typing in the Firefox address bar, you can fix the problem by uninstalling Firefox 1.0.1, completely removing the Firefox program folder (probably C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox on Windows or /home/<user>/firefox-installer/ on Linux), and reinstalling Firefox 1.0.1.
Only applies to 1.0.1.
