Ok,I have my xbox hooked up to a ati tv tuner. Then I have a s-video cable running my radeon 9800 to my system selector, which has an s-video to my tv. Just my set-up

The whole purpose of this is to capture video of games I play on xbox, but when ever I play the game it's extremely delayed. I tell it to go left it takes like 2 seconds.

I was thinking it was maybe a software issue or the wrong software setup or even my hardware setup.

This is really getting on my nerves, i want it fixed!

it's your computer. capturing video (even for basic quality) requires a lot of processing power. not only that, your tuner is taking an RF signal, processing it to digital, sending it to get encoded (the CPU does a lot of work here), then its being told to take a signal (really the same one, but as it's on the output line, its treated separately) convert it to svideo and spit it back out. you might be better off putting a Y-splitter between the xbox and the video card and then sending the other line to the TV, that way the computer only has to deal with one part of the process and your response on your TV will be back to normal. Your captured video, however, may not look normal as the encoding process still requires a large amount of processing
