xbox live is designed for xbox consoles, not for PCs.

also, "firefox". not "firefox IE". IE stands for Internet Explorer, which is Microsoft's web browser that comes with windows.

and why did you post this in hardware?

and,

since you seem rather inexperienced, go out and buy norton utilities.

yes, i meant norton system works. even "uber leet hack saws" make mistakes...

edit no. 2: are you greek?

Your question will generate lots of opinions...
Here are some of mine regarding "saftey"...
Since saftey is a concern of yours...
1) absolutely install & use firefox you save yourself some issues by doing so.

2) I highly reconmend Kaspersky's antivirus software (for more info on this package and other peoples opinions on antivirus software go to iexbeta's "software forum" and read both topics of "avg antivirus" and "kaspersky" each topic is fairly new and should be near top of list.

3) Get yourself an external hard drive (ie USB HD). Do automatic, unattended backups to that device If your pc blows up can get new HD or PC and restore.

4) Turn on your windows firewall...

5) If you have broadband internet (cable/dsl) get yourself a router access internet through that device versus directly.

6) periodically scan pc with the various spyware utilities (spybot, adaware ect...)

He's obviously a novice, so Firefox is likey to be a frustrating experience for him. I recommend IE and buying SpySweeper and Norton Systemworks. With all that running, he should be relatiely safe and he won'r need to know how to install 15 plugins just to view web sites correctly.

Oh, and topic moved to software.
