i love firefox and don't think I will ever want to go back to another alternative, but yesterday it completely crashed after installing sessionsaver ...

this is how it looks like now - a huge frugly grey bar on the bottom of the window. notice how the resize handle is above it:




i tried re-installing it. tried removing all the plugins. manually deleted all regkeys, then reinstalled

this occurs in safe-mode as well.

anyone has any clues?

kays... i started ff with -p option to get the profile manager. created a new one. this fixed the problem.

lost all settings though.

Happened to me also once. Some plugins screw up your profile.

Not sure what happened. I'm using that plugin as well, had no problems, and love the thing.

As much as I like firefox I just can't get over it hogging up all the CPU for no apparent reason sometimes. I'm guessing its the flashplayer or something. But it fucking sucks losing all your tabs and need to ctrl+alt+del FF. Guess I need the extension that keeps your tabs.

Yeah get SessionSaver. Probably my favorite extension.
