On May 31st 2005, the KDE Project released KDE 3.4.1.

KDE is a powerful Free Software graphical desktop environment for Linux and Unix workstations. It combines ease of use, contemporary functionality, and outstanding graphical design with the technological superiority of the Unix operating system.

This release is a maintenance release for the latest generation of the most advanced and powerful free desktop for GNU/Linux and other UNIXes. KDE 3.4.1 ships with a basic desktop and fifteen other packages (PIM, administration, network, edutainment, utilities, multimedia, games, artwork, web development and more). KDE's award-winning tools and applications are available in 50 languages.

Just to name a few of the changes...
  • kdecore: Fix in command-line argument handler for clicking on mailto urls while kontact was started with arguments
  • kdecore: Fix the support for Dante proxies (#98018)
  • kdecore: Fix the "random resolver failure" problem (#94703)
  • kdecore: Fix the support for the IPv6 Blacklist in ioslaves

Too bad Linux isnt as free as it used to be due to greed, Also, Linux is a hard OS to get running ><

Well I found that if you get a free distro and learn about it then it's not too bad. Like Ubuntu Linux, based on Debian. This distro is awesome.

If u want to try it get knoppix it just burns to a cd and it's cd bootable so you dont have to touch any of your other stuff, it loads automaticly with a bunch of already put in their software smile.gif I don't really know linux that much either yet but i tried this some and it's cool.
