is there a way to see whats inside an installer file (.exe)
i tried google but it didnt help

Some of them can be extracted using WinRaR

some of them extract the msi files to a temp dir, some of them also support a /x switch. /x = extract.

Depends on what kind of installer file it is - Installshield, Wise, Inno, MSI.....!! As said some of them can be extracted using Winrar. For others type "Installer.exe /?" at the command prompt and see if there are any options to extract the files.

Reshacker will just show any resources in the executable... not any files it may be containing
