So far all ive noticed is that it loads up faster, and uses lessd memory but i havent seen any new features or anything like that

Meh, I'll stick with Gaim 1.4.0 thankyouverymuch. OSS is much better than MS offerings.

MSN messenger seems full of bugs, i keep getting problem with it in my own machine and in some people machines as well.
